Review by hotel critic
My family recently stayed at a charming house nestled at the base of Pen y Ghent, and we had a wonderful experience. the location of the house was truly exceptional, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. As soon as we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the house, which provided all the amenities we could possibly need for a relaxing walking holiday. One of the highlights of our stay was the spacious bedrooms, each of which was beautifully furnished and equipped with comfortable beds. the house also boasted good heating throughout, ensuring that we stayed warm and cozy during our visit. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which provided plenty of space for us to cook meals together as a family. In terms of activities, the house is perfectly positioned for those looking to embark on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge. Being located at the start of the trail to Pen-y-Ghent, we found it incredibly convenient to set off on our hiking adventures each day. the proximity of the Golden Lion pub, just a short walk away, provided a lovely spot for us to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of exploring. As a family, we also took advantage of the train station nearby, which allowed us to easily visit other nearby attractions such as the Ribblehead Viaduct. the convenience of being able to explore the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District from this central location was truly a bonus for us. Overall, our stay at this house was fantastic, and we highly recommend it to families looking for a comfortable and family-friendly accommodation option in the stunning Yorkshire countryside. the thoughtful host and informative house guide added to our positive experience, making it a memorable holiday for all of us.
